‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ Haunts HBO Max This October

It seems like HBO Max is suffering from some bad dreams. Not anxiety-induced visions about the upcoming Paramount merger, but the sort of nightmares caused by the infamous Freddy Krugger (Robert Englund).
Yes, the service celebrates the Halloween season with the first five A Nightmare On Elm Street films, Freddy vs. Jason, and the 2010 remake. It’s unclear why Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare are not on the menu — and some will argue you really only need to see the first three films — but it’s nice to have most them in one place if you don’t have access to the home media discs.
Other horrors on offer next month include a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Final Destination 3, a version of Friday the 13th (although HBO Max does not specify which), House Of Wax, and perhaps the most frightening film of all — Space Jam: A New Legacy.
We kid, of course.
