Announced a while ago now, tickets for the weekend event — happening on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March 2027 — have only gone on sale from today. So, that’s pretty newsworthy.

What we do know about the 2000 AD comic Convention is that it will be held in the very trendy (and expensive) Shoreditch in London. Specifically, at Protein Studios, which looks pretty impressive, spanning some 10,000 sq ft with a total capacity of up to 1,000 people.

And, as you can see from the main image below, it’s a veritable who’s who of creators who have worked on 2000 AD, including legends such as  Judge Dredd co-creator John Wagner, Judge Death co-creator Brian Bolland, Nemesis the Warlock co-creator and 2000 AD editor Pat Mills, Bryan Talbot, and Dave Gibbons. Plus, quite a few contemporary creators like Charlie Adlard, Greg Staples, and many more. and more to be announced.

With pre-sale tickets, offered to 2000 AD subscribers, already sold out, you may want to grab your tickets now from the Eventbrite webpage here.

And then, launching in January and running right through to April, there’s also a planned 2000 AD takeover of London’s Cartoon Museum too.

“Curated and organised by Rebellion, the exhibition will feature artwork from across the history of 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine, loaned by artists, private collectors and from the company’s own archives, it will also include a brand-new, life-sized statue of Judge Dredd based on co-creator Carlos Ezquerra’s full-length painting of his most celebrated character. The exhibition will also highlight how the comic is made and how its influence can be felt far beyond the comics’ pages.”

The exhibition, featuring the works of Carlos Ezquerra, Simon Bisley, Brian Bolland, Steve Dillon, Kevin O’Neill, Glenn Fabry, Mick McMahon, Steve Yeowell, Chris Weston, Simon Davis, Ron Smith, Bryan Talbot, Henry Flint, Anna Readman, Cam Kennedy, John M Burns, Simon Fraser, Brett Ewins, Sean Philips, Silvia Califano, Jock, Fraser Irving, Dave Kendall, Jim Murray, Cliff Robinson, Tom Foster, David Roach, John Higgins, Eric Bradbury, Alan Davis, José Casanovas, Simon Coleby, Trevor Hairsine, Arthur Ranson, Ian Gibson and many more launched 14th January and is on until 18th April, 2027.
