Gerardo Zaffino’s Cover Art For ‘Highlander: The Original Screenplay’ #1 Revealed

Good morning, everyone. Let’s start your day off with some phenomenal art, shall we? Courtesy of Gerardo Zaffino, who is creating variant covers for the forthcoming Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1 from Titan Comics, original screenplay writer Gregory Widen and artist Szymon Kudranski.

Here at Comicon.com, we’ve been covering this release for quite some time. From its original announcement in March to the revealing of the first wave of variant covers, as well as a first look. And now this new announcement. The final piece of the jigsaw: the main cover, as well as a virgin black-and-white cover and foil cover.

But, in case you’re a new reader, or living under a rock, here’s the synopsis:

“Based on the original story by writer Gregory Widen, Highlander: The Original Screenplay presents the original vision for the timeless classic.

This lavishly illustrated comic tells the story of the immortal Connor MacLeod as he lives through the centuries, facing off against rivals for the mysterious prize.”

Highlander: The Original Screenplay #1 is out on Wednesday 16th December, 2026, with FOC on November 16th.
