Something For The Weekend: Our Pick Of The Posts

Our usual weekend guy Olly MacNamee is off to Thought Bubble this weekend, so I’m filling in with his usual Something For The Weekend feature. Olly left his picks before he took off, and here they are:
- Rachel Bellwoar chatted with writer Rob Williams about El Mestizo and dropped some exclusive original art here.
- Tony Thornley (more on this cat later) reviewed The Ultimates #6 here.
- Olly shared an exclusive look at ComiXology’s Groupies here.
Our intrepid Editor-in-Chief Erik Amaya picked these three on the week:
- Another Rachel interview, as she sits down (virtually) with artist Rick Geary here.
- Austin Gorton found some good old-fashioned monkey-laden fun in his review of Space Ghost #7 here
- Scott Redmond enjoyed Star Trek: Lower Decks quite a bit, and told us all about it here.
My picks for the week are:
- Outland Entertainment launched a Kickstarter for a Cupcake Dragon card game and children’s book here.
- Austin Gorton’s weekly (sometimes twice weekly) Snap Into Marvel Feature took on Surtur here.
- Anton Kromoff brought us news of McFarlane Toys’ Classic Batman figure being nominated for a prestigious award here.
We would normally be done after those three categories of editor picks, but (spoilers follow) one of our Senior Staff Writers Tony Thornley is about to get a promotion, so I asked for his picks this week as well. Our Editor-in-Chief Mr. Amaya will get the official honors of announcing Tony’s new role early next week, but I can say (at least I think I can say) that Tony is about to get a title and the key to the editorial washroom. It’s not really better than the regular loo, but we don’t have to bring our own toilet paper.
