Green Archer Comics Launches Kickstarter Campaigns For ‘The Press Guardian’ #1-3 & ‘The Clock’ #1

Green Archer Comics has launched The Press Guardian issues #1-3 and The Clock #1: Reviving Legends on Kickstarter. The campaign spotlights the return of two legendary Golden Age heroes in a gripping double-feature that brings relevance to their original missions.
This campaign delivers four complete comics including two brand-new 32-page issues, The Press Guardian #3 and The Clock #1. The stories feature two revitalized legends and one mission that still matters: taking on today’s real-world villains, from hackers and tech CEOs to, yes… still Nazis. For fans of superhero revivals, cyber-noir thrillers, and comics that speak truth to power, it’s a return to the roots with sharper stakes and a serious edge.
Originally introduced in the 1930s and later released into the public domain, The Press Guardian and The Clock still resonate today with core values that endure, fighting for the people, standing up to corruption, and demanding the truth.
In The Press Guardian #3, the story continues with Perri Chase, a world-renowned photojournalist and granddaughter of the original Guardian. Chase risks her life helping journalists report from Hong Kong. But when she returns home, tragedy strikes in the most unexpected of places, a burrito joint. What follows is a battle against her most personal and dangerous adversary yet.
The Press Guardian #3 is written by Allan Liska, illustrated by Tiff Kath, Sino To, and more, and lettered by Saida Temofonte. Variant covers are available from Dale DeForest, Rob Jones, Liana Kangas, Marguerite Savage, Rebecca Ann, and Sarah Webb.
“The first two issues of The Press Guardian have been incredibly well-received, and it feels great to write a comic dealing with such a relevant topic,” said Liska. “The press is under attack worldwide, and having a hero fighting for press freedom seems more important than ever.”
The Clock #1 marks the first installment in a long-awaited series about Tani Day, a SOC Analyst with a very modern power. Day can connect to any internet-enabled device running Network Time Protocol. In a world built on surveillance and algorithms, Tani becomes The Clock, targeting scammers, hackers, and digital criminals the law won’t touch. Like her 1930s predecessor, she’s fighting for the everyday people, but now in a war fought on screens as much as streets.
The Clock #1 is written by Comanche/Choctaw storyteller and digital security specialist Weyodi Squidbear, illustrated by Dale DeForest, colored by Liezl Buenaventura, and lettered by Saida Temofonte, and features a variant cover by Frankie Morin.
“I loved the opportunity to write a Comanche character whose super power doesn’t stem from the fact that she’s Native, but instead is the result of the sort of techno-magic that can happen to anyone in a comic book,” said Squidbear. “For all that she’s an inherently Comanche character.”
