DC Comics Reveal A Slew Of Covers For ‘Batman/Deadpool’ #1 Crossover One-Shot

by Olly MacNamee

Ever since the Batman/Deadpool crossover was announced, we’ve heard a lot from Marvel, having released not one, not two, but three sets of covers for their one-shot from writer Zeb Wells and artist Greg Capullo . And now DC Comics have shared their own covers. And all at once! And there’s quite a few. But, before we share all the variant covers with you, here’s a reminder of the crossover’s plot for the DC one-shot by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora. Well, more of a tease, really:

“What happens when the World’s Greatest Detective meets the Merc with a Mouth? Reality folds in on itself. Archetypes collide. Darkseid is. And, somewhere between Apokolips and Earth-TRN666, a sentient street named Danny hums show tunes about a crusading cape!

But DC’s Batman/Deadpool #1 isn’t just a comic book crossover between iconic publishers, it’s a metaphysical car crash between two storytelling philosophies. One character broods in the shadows of trauma and justice. The other cartwheels through chaos, breaking the fourth wall and occasionally the laws of physics. Together, they’re forced to confront a threat that doesn’t just endanger their worlds—it questions their very existence as fictional constructs.”

Okay, now for the covers:

  • Dan Mora – Batman/Deadpool wraparound
  • Lee Bermejo – The Joker/Doctor Doom
  • Mark Brooks – Zatanna/Scarlet Witch
  • Jim Cheung and Jay David Ramos – Wonder Woman/Captain America
  • Amanda Conner and Alex Sinclair – Harley Quinn/Hulk
  • Nick Dragotta and Frank Martin – Batman/The Punisher
  • Jenny Frison – Wonder Woman/Storm
  • Andy Kubert and Alejandro Sánchez – Robin (Damian Wayne)/Gambit
  • Jae Lee and June Chung – Big Barda/Savage Land Rogue
  • Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair – Batman/Wolverine
  • Alexander Lozano – Wonder Woman/Ms. Marvel
  • Sean Murphy and Simon Gough – Lobo/Deadpool
  • Frank Quitely – Batman/Deadpool
  • Bruno Redondo – Nightwing (Dick Grayson)/Wolverine (Laura Kinney)
  • Hayden Sherman – John Constantine/Doctor Strange
  • Bill Sienkiewicz – Batman/Deadpool — a The Incredible Hulk #340 homage
  • Ryan Sook – Batman/Deadpool — a Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 homage
  • Sozomaika – Catwoman/Emma Frost

Plus, DC Comics also revelaed details about the back-up strips to be included in this 64-page special. Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson with artist Hayden Sherman share a spellbinding story featuring DC’s John Constantine and Marvel’s Doctor Strange. Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo team Nightwing (Dick Grayson) with Wolverine (Laura Kinney), while Mariko Tamaki and Amanda Conner “unleash chaos and charisma in a riotous Harley Quinn vs. Hulk showdown”, and G. Willow Wilson and Denys Cowan create a high-voltage tale starring Static and Ms. Marvel.
