Arrow Video’s January Lineup Brings Us ‘Snakes On A Plane,’ Steven Seagal On A Ship, Billy Crystal On The Range, And More

Arrow Video is kicking off 2026 with a 1990s-heavy January release lineup, including the 4K UHD debut of one of the best Die Hard knock-offs, a rediscovered English caper, plus a certain Badass MF-er fighting with a planeful of MF-ing snakes.

First up is 1991’s City Slickers, which stars Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern, and Bruno Kirby as three middle-aged yuppies who leave NYC for a trip Out West to play cowboys for a weekend. There, they meet the real thing in the form of Jack Palance, who won an Oscar for his performance. The new UK-only Blu-ray will include newly filmed interviews, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more.

The early ’90s were full of variations on the Die Hard formula, and 1992’s Under Siege can only be described as Die Hard On a Battleship. Steven Seagal plays a Navy cook with a very particular set of skills who fights a boatload of terrorists led by a questionably dressed Tommy Lee Jones. Director Andrew Davis (who later reunited with Jones for the significantly more memorable The Fugitive) keeps thing crackling with some deft action, and it’s one of the few Seagal vehicles where he lets a little bit of levity in to crack his self-serious facade. The director-approved restoration will be available in the US and UK and includes a new commentary from Davis, plus newly-filmed interviews, and more extras TBA.

Next up, Snakes On A Plane only feels like a ’90s movie, but it was actually released in 2006 and became arguably the very first meme movie due to its social media virality. Samuel L. Jackson stars as an FBI agent facing off against a slew of slithering villains and regular human villains in this tongue-in-cheek thriller that could be pitched as Die Hard On a Plane (Plus Snakes). Plane will arrive on in the US and UK on limited edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray, in a brand new director approved 4K restoration featuring a new commentary track, interviews and a booklet.

January continues with The Assassination Bureau, a little-seen Edwardian Era heist film starring fan favorites Diana Rigg and Oliver Reed. Based on an unfinished novel by Jack London, The Assassination Bureau was co-directed by Basil Dearden and Michael Relph (Victim). The limited edition UK-only Blu-ray debut boasts a collectors’ booklet, a reversible sleeve, and bonus features TBA.

Also in January comes the 2022 Spanish-language thriller Huesera: The Bone Woman, which offers a body horror take on fears of motherhood from director Michelle Garza Cervera. The UK-only limited edition Blu-ray comes with an audio commentary, video essay, a reversible sleeve and collectors’ booklet.

Finally, don’t miss Arrow’s December release slate, which boasts breakdancers and Shaw Brothers, plus Chow Yun-Fat and Ninja Turtles in 4K. Meanwhile, their releases this month include Jim Carrey in The Mask, Jack Lemmon in The Apartment, and more.
