‘Ben 10’ #1 Second Printing Now Available For Order

The Ben 10 phenomenon continues.

Dynamite announced today that the second printing of Ben 10#1 is available for order. After a successful first printing of roughly 82,000 copies the company is expecting to have over 100k units in circulation when the second run becomes available next month.

The series reunites the original Man of Action team — Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle — for what Casey calls a “new approach with a revamped origin story, a straightforward, action-oriented take on Ben Tennyson and his adventures.” Set in the 2020s, Ben and his family are “out camping, when a meteor crashes nearby.” He soon discovers the Omnitrix at the impact site. It gives him familiar powers, but this new version of the origin will include an expanded scale and scope of pivotal moments, including “a range of ‘real world’” implications with “the military getting peripherally involved and a bona fide alien threat.”

Casey also takes point as writer of the new origin story alongside artist Robert Carey. Kelly, Rouleau, and Seagle will write subsequent tales using elements of previous Ben 10 projects to update the concept for a new decade. Covers for the first issue come courtesy of Carey, Rouleau, Dustin Nguyen, and Sebastian Piriz. Carey also provides new covers for the second printing; with two being Diamond UK exclusives.

Ben 10 #1 second printing arrives in stores this June.
