- Fellow Senior Editor Brendan M Allen covered the 25th anniversary of Planet Comicon Kansas City here with its announcement of guests here, featuring… well not comic book guests, but a line-up of actors with photo-ops. That is the way of many comic conventions these days, I suppose.
- In other actual comic book news, Skybound announced a second LEGO Ninjago series here.
- I posted a bunch of previews for DC Comics here.
- Meanwhile, EiC Erik Amaya announced the new Supergirl here.
- In other news Brendan revealed this year’s Innings Festival map and food vendors here. I know it’s a show he really enjoys, so look out for more coverage to come.
- Rachel Bellwoar interviewed the creators of Hobtown Mystery Stories here.
- Our regular tabletop gaming expert, Anton Kromoff, gave us a preview of Dungeons & Dragons Classic Collection G-K here.
- And the Dungeons & Dragons Classic Collection K-N here.
- We had a look at trade paperback collection out this past week in Brendan M Allen’s Trade Waiting here.
- Finally we have Tony Thornley and Scott Redmond discuss the ‘Fall of the House of X’ and their subsequent ‘Rise of the Powers of X’ here.
This week I’ll leave you with this hard hitting and fun set by the Cancer Bats all dressed up as Black Sabbath and performing under the name, Bat Sabbath. They recently toured the UK and I was very fortunate to watch them playing here in Birmingham, the home of Black Sabbath themselves! If you like your rock hard, enjoy and I’ll see you next week if not before.
